Master Bathroom Renovation Update

I'm just now sitting down to blog. We had a long day at the house today. We had a man come and remove all of the yucky 1938 pink floor tile from our master bathroom. After a long day of work by our great contractor, our bathroom is now pretty much gutted and down to the bare bones. I didn't get over to the house in time to take a before photo, but here is a "in the middle" photo, followed by a photo once all the tile was removed. We are hoping to have all of the new tile in by the weekend.

Bathroom with the pink floor tile.

At the end of the day, we are now pink tile free!

I am obsessed with the 1920's/ 1930's white matte hexagon 1" tile with black grout, nicely complimented with a white porcelain pedestal sink.

Here is a picture from Pinterest of my vision for our bathroom.
Our tile is a bit smaller, I believe the tile shown in this picture is 2" tile.

The baths are in the style of the early 20th century: all white, with hex tile on the floor and high beadboard walls.

Here is the tile we ordered last week for our bathroom floor along with black grout.

This afternoon, I  tended to my cheerful, little African Violets as well. They are just flourishing in my little kitchen garden window. I do believe they are so happy there and they look absolutely radiant!

        I  My Boys!

Because it is almost February and Valentine's Day... here is a 30 week photo of my very pregnant tummy! As you can tell I have become a little bored with bed rest! :)

And yes, this pregnancy my belly button lost the battle to stay in... it fought the good fight, but in the end, the babies overtook it !

That's it for me friends! I am exhausted and off to bed!

Blessings,

Your bathroom inspiration really looks wonderful! I guess having almost the same layout as this one will make things easier for you. You don’t have to go with the exact details. Just design the interior according to your taste and preferences, to give it a more personal touch. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

You have a good taste for choosing bathroom tiles, Sarah! They would definitely make your bathroom look classic. Not to mention that they can also create an illusion of having a wider space inside. Anyway, I’m curious to see the end result. Any updates?

Wow! You’ve got some pretty neat ideas for your bathroom renovation. I agree that the pink tiles seem a bit off, and doesn’t fit the theme of the room. Anyway, I hope that you were quite satisfied with the results afterwards. All the best!
