We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?

Happy New Year's Eve
 happy new year clock
Well friends, another year has come and gone. Here on the West Coast, we are about an hour and 15 minutes away from welcoming and ringing in 2014! This past 2013 year was filled with so much joy and excitement for The Christensen family! In April, we welcomed Daddy, (our Marine and our hero), back from an eight month deployment. We were thrilled to have him home safe and sound, right where he belongs!  I turned 30 at the beginning of April. In May, our little Robbie turned two years old! What a joy and a blessing this child has been in our life! We are so thankful for him. In July, we found out we were expecting what we thought would be our second child ... in August, we found out that we were doubly blessed and were having twin boys! Who are scheduled to make their arrival in March 2014! We are so thankful to the Lord for all of his many blessings.

Below is a picture of my little New Year's Eve date... even if his bedtime is 8:00! :)

On the left,  is my little guy on his first New Year's Eve in 2011. On the right, is Robbie tonight.
How they do grow!

I remember last year, when this man was deployed and I had no one to kiss at midnight...
... tonight,  I am one lucky lady!
I have two handsome men to kiss as the clock strikes 12!

Tonight I am sure that each of you has many blessings and stories to share from this past year. I wish we were sitting down together friends, chatting and toasting about all the Lord has done for us in the past year! Since we cannot be together physically, whatever you're doing this New Year's Eve, I wish you all a happy, healthy, blessed 2014! I look forward to seeing what God has in store for all of us in the new year !

Blessings and Happy New Year!
