We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Potty Time and Pumpkin Spice M&M's

I have been REALLY bad about blogging this past week!
Well, this week I have lots to talk about!!

Let's see... we have jumped back on the potty track! Robbie asks to use the potty and completely gets the concept. I would say Robbie has been potty trained for the past few months, but with me not feeling like, well... me and being on bed rest, I have not been as strict about using the potty as I should have been these past 11 weeks! So, we have had a few accidents over the last few weeks. :(
We have all the equipment complete with BIG BOY Mickey undies!!

For the past few days, I have been setting a kitchen timer for 30 min intervals and making Robbie use the potty when the timer dings! :)  It was my goal on Robbie's second birthday to have him fully potty trained by 2 1/2. Robbie just turned 28 months, so here's hoping we will be completely potty trained with no accidents within the next month!
Then, my sweet friend Lisa, ( who has two adorable boys) recommended this potty chart on her blog!

This is from his potty this morning!

Since Robbie Loves anything Disney or Cars, I knew this would be a BIG hit!!
I purchased these Cars stickers at the craft store and we have been back on the potty track ever since! I have a large jar of M&M's displayed in our bathroom and every time Robbie does a potty he gets one M&M and a car sticker to place on his chart! A two year old's heaven!!

Oh and while we're on the subject of M&M's... have any of you tried the new Pumpkin Spice M&M's out this Fall?? They are simply divine!! I LOVE anything Pumpkin Spice ! I am not indulging with my usual fall tradition of drinking gallons of Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes this year, due to the twinies :( So, just a few of these little M&M's give me that pumpkin spice kick that I love!!! :)

Oh and don't forget the Candy Corn M&M's!
I think either of these would be amazing in a soft bake cookie!
Hmm, maybe that would be a fun project for tomorrow?

Did I mention a little certain somebody was caught playing with my camera again today?!
Ha ha I should just start a section on my blog of photos that Robbie takes of himself, because they always crack me up! Complete with left over blueberry smudges from breakfast on his face!

Hope your Monday is wonderful!

Blessings,
 Sarah

So glad the chart is helping! We almost have a full chart! I don't pay any attention to the days of the week. We just focus on filling the boxes. Anyway I think that when we fill every box he may get a reward for doing so well with going potty! I need to print another one out.
I'm glad you are doing well! I pray those twins continue to grow healthy and that you feel well in the process! And I am soo going to find those m&m's and make some cookies!
Love and Miss you girl!

That chart looks like a great idea!

I'll have to try those m&m's. :)
