We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Two Busy Bees . . .

Robbie and I have been two very busy little bees this past week! Today, Robbie and I met up with our friends, Amanda and Paige for a morning hike at the local canyon mountain trail just five minutes from my parent's home. We thought it was just too beautiful a morning to keep the kiddos inside.

The start of the canyon trail and the 1.7 mile hike up to the top.

We decided to stop and take a break and let the babies play in the creek.

Here I am with my little explorer!

Amanda and Paige.

The waterfall at the top of the mountain and end of the trail!

We ran into a family of deer on the way down the mountain! Amanda was able to snap this picture on her phone!

We decided to break for lunch and then head on over to the splash park for a few hours.

This was Robbie's first time in a large swimming pool.
He was cautious at first and clung to mommy, but within minutes he was loving the water and floating and kicking like a little fish!
He is just like his daddy and I love that! :)

Unfotunately, the pool rules did not allow us to bring a camera within the pool area. Here are some photos of us getting ready to leave for a fun afternoon of water fun!

The babies putting on their sunscreen before we went to the pool.

Mommy is ready for a nap also!!

Swimsuits For Mommies

As a mama, I believe it is important to dress somewhat modest , yet pretty when going out for a swim, or a day at the beach with my little one.
I LOVE the retro style bathing suits of the 1950's ! These swimsuits are classic and timeless, feminine and yet conservative!

Today, I wore this 1950's retro swimsuit.

We are ready for the pool!
This suit actually belonged to my Grandma Vera. I think the print and cut are just fabulous!! :) I received several complements about the swimsuit. It is now my mission to sew a retro-style swimsuit before the end of the summer. Finding a pattern for such a swimsuit may pose to be a bit challenging, but I am on the case!
My Mom is an amazing seamstress and I am sure she will help me in my endeavours!

I love having the privilege of being my little Robert's mother! Today, while swimming and laughing in the pool with my little guy, I looked into his big beautiful eyes and smiling face and realized how blessed I am to have such joy in my life! This little guy is my little buddy, my side-kick and my partner in crime! We spend everyday together and he is not just my son, he is one of my dearest and best friends! Now, I am aware that this is something ALL of you mama's experience and feel with your own precious little ones.
 I am no one special .  .  .
I guess today was just one of those Ah Ha kinda days for me! :)

Blessing Friends,

I also love vintage style bathing suits. Unique Vintage has a cute red gingham one that I want. They are a little pricey but since the kids and I swim all summer I don't mind paying that much. I love to read blogs of stay at home moms. I am a strong believer that its the most regarding job in the world. Robbie is one lucky little boy!!!
