We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

I Was Running . . .

Ahh, the famous running scene from one of my all time FAVORITE movies, Forrest Gump!
Well, I have taken up running . . . I'm not quite at the point in my running career where Forrest was . . . but, you have to start somewhere. And so .  .   .  "I just ran." :)

For the past month or so, I have been walking about six miles a day with the baby each morning. This week, I finally asked my hubby to get involved with my workout plan.

Now, you must realize this, is my hubby . . .

A Marine who loves to run and does not know the meaning of the word quit!
A man who shouts out cadences like the one above while we run.

Oh boy, what have I gotten myself into?

Rich loves to run. I on the other hand hate to run, but love the rush of endorphins after I run.

I also LOVE my husband more than anything , but .  .  . I REALLY don't like him while I'm running! Haha ;)

In all seriousness, Rich really is the perfect motivator!!

Last night, we loaded up the baby, the stroller and laced-up our running shoes and we were off!

Here is where we chose to run. It truly is one of the most amazing trails to run on. It is beautiful, right along the beach.
It actually made my running experience pleasant! I enjoyed feeling the cool sea breeze on my face and the salty air on my cheeks! I woke up this morning feeling great! So pumped and energized and I can't wait to go back tonight!
Plus this gorgeous sunset view at the end of our run makes it all worth it!
"Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it."
-Oprah Winfrey
