We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

28 Weeks & Third Trimester !!!!

I'm 28 Weeks & In My Third Trimester !
I just got home from my Doctor's appointment. Little Robert is doing well! A happy and healthy little boy with a heart rate of 150 BPM!! Praise the Lord! :) I am now in my Third Trimester I'm 28 weeks and 4 days along. With a little less than 11 weeks to go before I meet my little sweet pea!! :) I passed my glucose test with flying colors! I found out I am a little anemic but, that's okay I just started taking Iron pills. I am well on my way to delivering a beautiful baby boy! Oh and Robert your Daddy is coming home from his training in 3 weeks! Life is good!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks and counting! I can't wait to meet you my sweet little boy!

Size of Baby: Little Robert is the size of a small cabbage. He is 14.8 inches long. He weighs about 2.2 pounds.

Baby Development This Week: For the time being, my little boy is in the fat collection business!

Despite being a bipedal whale, this fetal fat collection stuff is serious business, and you’ve got to put up with it because it’s going to keep your little boy warm and healthy after birth, since their brain will be unable to regulate their tiny baby-body's temperature.

Other good stuff from inside the womb: your little explorer's eyes are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now responding to light and dark!

And in life-critical physical developments: your champ's tiny industrious bone marrow is now a major construction site for blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen — which will stimulate your body to begin milk production.

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans and pants but everything else is regular. Love those stretchy leggings and jeggins! I even went shopping this week and bought some cute tops!

Gender: It's a Boy!!! Robert William Christensen

Movement: I've been feeling the baby a lot more lately and higher in my belly especially at night! He is a busy little guy in there. I often feel like he's building a house!!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, thanks to my awesome pregnancy pillow! A little more aches and pain, but it's all worth it!

What I miss: Ugh!!! I would LOVE a great BIG sub sandwich!

Cravings: Cuties tangerines and Babybel Cheese, all the fruit I can get and Shredded Mini Wheat's!
Symptoms: Trouble getting out of bed in the morning while laying flat on my back. ha ha :) Also, a little shortness of breath in my ribs. Just an overall heavy feeling. Oh and the new one this week, bending over! Overall, I am feeling great!

Best Moment this week: Hearing Robert's beautiful little heart beat and working on his nursery! :)

Blessings,
Sarah

Beautiful! I am so glad to hear that little Robert is doing well and growing strong. I had to laugh at myself earlier today. I had to squat down to get lettuce out of the fridge and when I went to stand up I just kind of rolled over back onto my behind. The joys of being pregnant!
Even though at this stage pregnancy becomes uncomfortable, there is nothing as wonderful as feeling baby doing flips and kicks and my favorite, hiccups!
I pray the rest of your pregnancy goes well, with no complications.

Dear Arvil's wife,
I got a good laugh from your, "joys of being pregnant." I was at a meeting last night and I couldn't fit through the narrow aisle to find my seat without bumping into everyone! LOL!
Oh yes, the joys of the miracle within.
Have a super day! :) Blessings, Sarah
