We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Be My Valentine Marriage Challenge

Looking for a fun, creative and loving way to praise your husband this Valentines Day? Why not take place in a 25 day praise challenge. I am joining Courtney on her blog at Women Living Well in a " Be My Valentine Marriage Challenge" over the next 25 days! Here is how Courtney has described the challenge:

"Each week the challenge will be the same - to praise, encourage, inspire, admire, build up, thank and appreciate your husband. But each week I will give you different ways to express your praise. Feel free to tweak it for what you think is best for your husband."

So please Check out Women Living Well today at for all of the details.

Here is this weeks Challenge:

Week # 1
"Week 1 starts TODAY! Look for ways to praise your husband verbally. Praise him in front of the kids, friends, family, co-workers, on facebook, tweet it - get praise out anyway you can! Try to mention something noteworthy he has done - in his role as provider, father, husband, lover, or friend. If the thought of trying to come up with one terrifies you, then pray right now that God will give you new eyes to see your husband as God does. Then open your mouth and say something kind and uplifting to your husband today and tomorrow and the next day until Valentine's Day arrives!"

My First Week:

My husband Rich is in The Marine Corps. On Wednesday, he left for training all the way across the country for the next few months. So, this challenge will be interesting as I send him words of encouragement and praise from the west coast to the east coast!

Here is how I chose to express my love and gratitude for him this week.

I created a surprise goodie bag for him to find in his carry on once he got on the plane. I filled the bag with his favorite snacks, gum and other items he might want with a note from me.

On the way to take my Marine to the airport very early in the morning!

Blessings,
Sarah
