Detox Bath Ideas For The Whole Family

I'm actually writing this post very late on Tuesday night. Somehow, I have fallen into this amazing routine at night. After all of our little boys are fast asleep, I can't wait to jump into a hot bath and soak the troubles of the day away... ahh, so relaxing! I love that little bit of me time after a very busy and chaotic day.

Have you heard of Detox Baths? This is something we have started doing on a regular basis.. all of us, even the little ones.  I am so convinced of the Detox Bath's healing properties. A few months ago, I started dabbling in the world of essential oils. Now, I'm hooked!

Okay, so here is a little Detox Bath 101

Here are just a few reasons why your should give your kiddos and yourself a nightly or weekly detox bath;

Detox baths not only help rid the body of chemicals and heavy metals, but they also provide rich minerals like magnesium and sulfates that help to:

  1. To flush out toxins that have built up in our body.
  2. To help strengthen your immune system.
  3. To promote healthy sleep and relaxation.
  4. To help muscles and nerves function properly. Great for growing kiddos!
  5. To helps promote concentration.

 How To Prepair a Detox Bath For your Little Ones In 3 Steps!

1. 1/2 cup of Epsom Salt
2. 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil  (Optional)
3. 3 to 5 drops of Essential Oil ( We like Lavender for it's relaxing properties, however their are many others that you could use).

Simply run a warm bath and add the above ingredients. Swoosh the water around with your hand until the Epsom salt is fully dissolved. Then allow your little ones to play in the water for about 20 mintutes or so.  That's it!! Get ready for a restful nights sleep for the whole family!

Note: Do not let kids drink bath water
Children might become thirsty after the bath, so be sure to provide water.
On Detox Bath night, skip the soaps and shampoos ... we do not want your children  to absorb the toxins in the soaps. We want them to experience the full benefits of the Epsom salt and essential oils.

Enjoy!
