I just put my little one down for his nap after a very busy morning of running errands, washing the car, grocery shopping and of course, a trip to the park followed by macaroni and cheese for lunch! I love spending the day with my favorite little guy!
Today, I wanted to share a few different things for "Teach Me Tuesday". First, is this beautiful post that my Mom shared with me on becoming a virtuous woman who lives for the Lord.
Women of God
Can never be like the women of the world.
The world has enough women who are tough;
We need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse;
... We need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude;
We need women who are refined.
There are enough women of fame and fortune;
We need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity
A Gracious woman retains honor….. Proverbs 11:16

I have started following an on-line devotional Bible Study called ; "She Reads Truth".
The She Reads Truth website has launched a daily devotional Bible Study for women. What an encouragemnet . . . seeing all these women, gatehring
It is as if each day's devotion is speaking directly to me!
Here is today's devotion and scripture.
Matthew 6:25-27
"Worry is really just a smaller way to say we don't know if God will come through. It's our inability to trust Him to do what He says He will do, which is to make all things work for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28). We somehow think that if we add a little worry to His holy mix that things will work out better.
Just the other day a friend of mine, who was going through one of the most wretched times in her life, kept asking me questions. What should I do? How long should I wait? When do you think I'll see some change? What should I do if this happens again?
I felt terrible for her. I wanted to make her wounded heart all better, add some Neosporin, a bandage and call it good. Then, very quickly, the Spirit of God prompted me to tell her this: Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow.
Today, you and I need to make a stand against that worry monster who creeps up next to us and wants to steal away our tomorrows. Don't let him. He's our spiritual enemy and all he desires to do is see us flounder in our lives to the point where we make no progress whatsoever.
I have another friend who is leaning into her Savior and trusting God despite her circumstances. Her son has an inoperable brain tumor. If she can trust, certainly we can.
And Finally . . .

Friend, I don't know what you are facing or what lies ahead in your path. But I know that we serve a God who effortlessly created the world in six days and still knows how many hairs you have on your head.
Action Steps
In what areas of your life do you worry the most? Try to pinpoint why you tend to worry about this instead of trusting God. Commit Matthew 6:25-27 to memory and the next time you are tempted to worry about this or anything else in your life, replace the worrying thought with the truth of this scripture."

And Finally . . .
I started reading a new Nicholas Sparks book. I needed a fun Summer Read!
I'm excited to really get into it. I just started it last night and I have heard it's a real tear jerker!
Have A Wonderful Day!
Blessings,

Thank you for your blog Sarah! Your words of truth are so comforting and to know we can always give our worries to the Lord! You are a great friend to so many and I am thankful for you!
Blessings,
Amanda
My dear girl,
I am so pleased that you posted about worrying. I have learned through many years of worrying and fearing; that faith is a much safer place to be. Considering all of my unhappy, sad experiences, health issues, and personal problems, I have lived God's promise of all things working together for the good for those who love the Lord. Worry really does nothing, but it certainly magnifies doubt. Faith is no promise that bad days won't occur. We will just be equipped with the armor of Christ. What we don't know, or can't handle; the Holy spirit within us sustains us. It is so true! Surrender everything to God and ask Him to teach you through it and to give you wisdom. I thank God that you are teaching our darling Robbie of the Lord! I love you my "Fin Fin" Seraphim-girl! Also, remember that God has a specific custom made plan for your life. Nothing can happen to a child of God without His knowledge, God does not sleep, and He is waiting to turn your life into His glory. Relax and trust in faith, which is for now, unseen perfection.
The potatoes were DELICIOUS!!!!!!!
Love, Mama
