We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

32 Weeks Pregnancy Update

32 Weeks!!!!!
Officially 8 Months!!!

Pregnancy Highlights This Week:

How Far Along: 32 weeks and 4 days

Size of Baby: Little Robert is the size of a jicama. He is 16 inches long. He weighs about
3 and 3/4 lbs and is 16 and 3/4 inches from head to toe!

Development This Week: I'm gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to my baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans, pants and some tops. I LOVE anything stretchy or drawstring at this point along with stretchy dresses and leggings!

Gender: We are having a precious baby boy!!! Robert William Christensen

Movement: Whew!!!! I have a very active little boy!!! He moves mostly in the evenings and just before bed!!!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, thanks to my awesome pregnancy pillow! A little more aches and pain, but it's all worth it! Lately, when I lay down in bed I can feel little Robbie kicking in my ribs. :)

What I miss: Ugh!!! I would LOVE a great BIG sub sandwich! I miss my blonde hair :( and the ability to fit into my old clothes and skinny jeans, sleeping on my back and I would LOVE some sweet tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Cravings: Mike's Jersey Subs Provolone, veggie sub. Oh my goodness!!! I could eat these everyday of the week!!! :) This week
I have been craving salmon!!

Symptoms: Trouble getting out of bed in the morning while laying flat on my back. ha ha :) A little sore towards the evenings, and back pain.

Best Moment this week: Rich came home and has been able to feel and see our little boy move!!!

Message to Robert From Mommy: Hi sweetpea!Daddy came home on Friday! He was so excited to see both of us! First he kissed Mommy and then he kissed you in my belly! Every night we have been watching you move and wiggle around in my tummy! Tomorrow we have a doctors appointment to check on you! Daddy also set up your bassinet on Saturday morning. We both love you so much and can't wait to meet you! :) Love you so Mommy

Blessings,
Sarah

I love reading your sweet posts and love your enthusiasm for your new precious baby. However, as I tell a sweet new momma at my church ... do not count each four weeks as a month of pregnancy unless you are prepared to count it as being pregnant 10 MONTHS (since pregnancy is about 40 weeks)!!!!

MY GRANDCHILD is NOT a Jicama, melon, an orange or any other flora/fauna.
I don't like the comparisons.
SO THERE! My darling squash-girl!
Regards to my onion son in-law.
Love,
Your Rhubarb Mamma :)
