Today, I am linking up with Kelly on her blog http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ Each week Kelly posts a "Show Us Your Life Topic" for us to share with all readers and fellow bloggers. This week's topic was "Tell Us About Your Alma Mater". So, I have decided to write about where I went to college. Here we go!
I went to The University of La Verne in Southern California. ULV is a smaller , private school focusing mainly on Education and Law. Here is just a short blurb on ULV: "Since 1891, the University of La Verne has been dedicated to the belief that a quality, values-based education enriches the human condition by engendering service, scholarly accomplishment, and professionalism. Though decades of growth have changed its appearance and reach, La Verne has retained its sense of purpose, seeking to provide students with individual attention to spark personal growth through intellectual challenge and development. The University takes pride in knowing its nearly 50,000 alumni worldwide have made a difference in their professions."
I absolutely loved my time at University of La Verne. I started attending college there as a transfer student from a Junior College in 2004. In 2006 I received my Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies/ Teacher Education. Yes, I loved my professors, overall experience and being a ULV student so much, I decided to pursue my Masters degree at ULV as well.
In the Summer of 2007 I received my Masters Degree In Education with an emphasis in Child Development/ Child Psychology, along with my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

The class sizes at ULV were small, which created a perfect, hands on learning environment. I was able to build strong relationships with my professors whom I still keep in contact with today.
I was very involved in extracurricular activities during my time at ULV as well. I was one of the founders of the Young Republican Clubs on our campus. I was also first runner up in The Miss La Verne pageant and much more.

I have told my husband that when I am older and our children are grown I would love to go back and teach at ULV. I believe in this school and would love to support them in the future!
I can't wait to read all about your Alma Mater! Happy reading and blogging. :)
Here I am at The Miss La Verne Pageant in 2007.
