We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

23 Weeks Pregnancy Update

I'm 23 Weeks!
I know it seems a bit narcissistic to post pregnancy updates every week! However, I am turning these posts and updates into a baby book for the little guy. :)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 Weeks and counting!

Size of baby: Little Robert is the size of a large mango or a small baby doll. 11 to 11.8 in long and weighs about a pound! Baby Development This Week: Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

.
Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans and pants but everything else is regular. Love those stretchy leggings and jeggins!

Gender: It's a Boy!!! Robert William Christensen

Movement: I've been feeling the baby a lot more lately and higher in my belly.

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, thanks to my awesome pregnancy pillow!

What I miss: Ugh!!! I would LOVE a great BIG sub sandwich!

Cravings: Cuties tangerines and Babybel Cheese!!!!!!!!

Symptoms: Trouble getting out of bed in the morning while laying flat on my back. ha ha :) Also, a little shortness of breath in my ribs. Just an overall heavy feeling.

Best Moment this week: I thank the Lord for this little one every day! Two great moments this week. First, on Monday night Rich (hubby) was talking to my belly and saying the baby's name. When Rich said "Hi little Rob, it's your daddy" The little guy kicked so hard Rich felt it (with a kick in the face), I felt it and we both definitely saw it! :) Today a funny thing happened. I was blow drying my hair and Robert jumped when I first turned on the blow dryer. Too darn cute!
