Christmas Eve 2013
Hello Friends... did you all have a wonderful Christmas? We sure did! I think what made this Christmas so special, was that Daddy was home this year. It was wonderful having him safe and sound with us and not deployed like last Christmas!
I have decide to break my Christmas post into two separate posts. My girlfriend Aimee, called me this morning to see if everything was okay, because I haven't blogged in a few days. Thank you Aimee for checking-in. I am fine and so are the babies. Even while on bed rest, the holidays can still get pretty busy! So I am spending today playing catch-up! We will start with Christmas Eve... but first, here is my little man this morning singing his heart out! I heart him!! :)
My wonderful hubby surprised me with an early Christmas present this year!!
On Christmas Eve morning, I was given this...
AHHH!!!!!!! I am out of my mind EXCITED over this new Nikon d3200 camera!!!!
Now I can officially call myself a Momtographer !!
Rich also gave me this amazing Nikon - AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED Telephoto Zoom Lens .
Between Christmas Eve and Christmas day, I have taken over 600 photos. I am having fun playing with my new toy... you can expect to see LOADS of photos from now on!
The day before Christmas Eve, my husband went golfing with all of the men in his family for their annual Christmas men's day out!
I was given special permission by my doctors to attend Christmas Eve dinner at my husband's parent's home. I was told to lay down on the couch, but I didn't mind... I was just happy to attend.
My husband's older brother, Jeff, came down for Christmas Eve. It was nice to visit with him and hear all about his children. Robbie has only met his Uncle Jeff once before, when he was only a few weeks old. Robbie was very smitten with Uncle Jeff and told me several times throughout the night that Uncle Jeff is funny and makes him laugh! :) As you an tell in the photo below, they had a great time...
I am happy that we were all able to spend some time with Uncle Jeff ... I know that Grandma Carla, ( my husband's mom), really enjoyed having all of her boys home! :)
As I can imagine I will one day enjoy having my grown boys come home for Christmas as well!
Robbie had a blast watching Grandpa Ken's Choo-Choo-train go round and around Grandma Carla's Christmas tree!
After a delicious Lasagna dinner, it was time to open presents!
You certainly didn't have to ask this little guy to get ready to open presents twice!
I was on picture duty because I couldn't get off the couch. So Daddy and Robbie had fun opening all of the presents!
Below is a picture of Grandma Carla opening-up her gift from us.
I was happy to spend time with Great Grandma and Grandpa Branch as well!
After our lovely visit at Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's home, we came back to GiGi's house. We put on our comfy and cozy Christmas jammies and set out milk and cookies for Santa!
Below is a picture of my little love bug kissing my tummy, and as he says, " Mommy I'm kissing my baby brothers".
I cherish this wonderful time in our life!
"How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people."
Psalm 116:12-14
Psalm 116:12-14
Here is my little man leaving cookies and milk for Santa. Jingle is sitting there returning the key to Santa's house and workshop that he gave Robbie earlier in the month!
Arranging cookies for Santa must be done very carefully!
Now, the cookies are just right.. time for bed.
Below are pictures of my Robbie in his Christmas jammies over his past three Christmases.
After Robbie went to sleep, Daddy stayed-up to help Santa set-up Robbie's new tricycle!
Daddy kept eyeing Santa's cookies... but I made sure he didn't eat any! :)
Well friends, that was part one of our Christmas! More of The Christensen Family Christmas and the last few days of Jingle will be up tomorrow!
Blessings,
