We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

# 2 Motherhood Is . . .

Happy Tuesday everyone! I realized that with the hustle and bustle of last week, I never put up my, "Motherhood Is" post.
Surviving Mommyhood | RedBarnBlog.com

Motherhood is . . . living, breathing, enjoying and above ALL thanking Jesus for the small things!

Each evening, my husband, son and I walk the harbor by our house... we love to take in the last glimpse of the sunset as it glistens upon the water.

Not only is the scenery on our walk exquisite. The company is the best and the walk just after dinner REALLY tires out my busy toddler!!

At the end of the harbor walk there is a fun little ice cream shop that we occasionally stop at for a sweet treat! Here is a picture of my boys last night enjoying their treat !
I love thinking of them like this!

We have fallen into a fun little summer bedtime routine of harbor walk, bath, and snuggles with Doc McStuffins! Do any of you have young children who like to watch Doc McStuffins?

Robbie just loves this cute little Doc and her funny, lovable pals!
I love to cuddle-up with this sweet face and his sippy cup of milk ( almond of course) and watch the adventures of Doc McStuffins!

Every smile and each giggle that this little man makes has left an imprint on my soul!

I have also been looking at vintage bathroom ideas...

I'm loving this type of pedestal sink!

Love the pedistal sink -- if there's other storage in the bathroom. Idea for kids' bathroom?

Oh swoon!! I am obsessed with vintage Hex-Tile bathroom floors and crisp, clean white Bead Board walls!

master bathroom. swoon. subway tile and hex tile and beadboard, ohmy!

A perfect spot for a hot soak on a cold winter's day. The light hanging over the tub adds charm and warmth to the room. I like the all cream color scheme with some little touches of character. It's a friendly bathroom, for sure.

Announcement on all of our fun house -renovation ideas coming soon!

Today, I have this cooking in my Crock-Pot!

Yummy Crock- Pot Tortellini Soup

Courtesy of Pinterest! The only thing I did to change this recipe was add baby Fingerling potatoes, chopped carrots and celery!
It sure smells great, hope it tastes good!

Looks like someone got into the cookies while Mommy was blogging!
Time to go...
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Making The Most Of Each Day: LOVE the vintage bead board look! I want to taste your soup, I am salivating! That ice cream cone is almost bigger than Robbie! I have 2 old bird cages, I am willing to give you one. I am spray painting mine white. Kisses and hugs to my baby-boy! Happy planning to you! Mom

That soup looks delicious!

I was just wondering if you have to supplement anything extra to your son's diet since he drinks almond milk? I really want to put my son on something besides cows milk and we already drink almond milk. My pediatrician is awesome but I don't think she understands my reasoning, plus my husband took my son to his last appointment so I'm not sure how far the conversation went. Any help you can give would be appreciated. :)

Hi Anna!
I do give my little guy Greek Yogurt, and cheese! He does have PediaSure once in a while, but he does not have straight cow's milk. Also, any type of almond butter or sunflower seed butter are a great source of protein! Our pediatrician said to try to stay away from soy for boys.
The Best to you!
Sarah
