We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Wives Of Faith Is Featuring My Blog!!!!

Hello Friends! This morning I received a lovely message from Amber over at Wives of Faith. I'm so honored, because this month my blog is being featured on their website for the July blog spotlight on Wives of Faith.org. Here is an excerpt from the article;

"Whether your summer has been stormy, dry with record breaking heat or July doesn’t mean summer in your neck of the woods, I hope that each of you enjoyed celebrating our freedom on Independence Day. Here is another batch of blog spotlights to give you an excuse to stay in the a/c!

Join Sarah’s young family and their life in the Marines in her blog The Adventures of the Christensens. She shares lots of family photos, product reviews and recipes like Sunshine Baked Eggs.

Here is peek at a Thankful Thursday post:

“It’s Thursday and time to share what I’m thankful for. Over the last few weeks I was given two very kind surprise gifts….I’m thankful for all of the kind people in my life and for all of the little unexpected surprises that make life fun!!”

Wondering about Wives of Faith? It is a "faith-based military wives support organization that began when an active Army wife and a Navy Reservist wife who were both going through deployments met for lunch in Nashville, TN one day. They had so much fun connecting with each other and discovering shared concerns and challenges, that they thought maybe other military wives would also like meeting. That’s when Wives of Faith was born and in December of 2006, the first get-together – an ornament exchange – was held. The women who came to that event were from different branches (Army, Air Force, Navy) and different types of service (active, National Guard and Reserve) but they all discovered some wonderful similarities, important when you often feel like you’re the “only one” who feels a certain way.

With more and more service members deploying and families living away from their military installation, spouses are seeking friendships with other women who may better understand their circumstances than civilian friends and family are sometimes able to.

Our wives have connected through small groups, events, conferences and online through Facebook and our blog. Though many women connect with us during a deployment, there are still others who stay involved because they wish to pass on support they received when they were going through the same experience."

A big thank you to Wives of Faith.org for the encouragement!

Other than that today has been a pretty quiet day at The Christensen home. Robbie and I took Daddy to work, we went and checked on our new house and made a quick stop at Coffee Bean and Tea leaf, yummy! Have a great day everyone!!!

Blessings,

Sarah
