We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Happy New Year 2013

Well, Dear Ones,

I have decided to return to blogging because of many requests. ("You like me, you really like me") LOL! All kidding aside, I have been urged by so many kind readers, to return to blogging. My local newspaper gave me a spot, and my Junior league has honored me with an opportunity to post an article about our beautiful, very useful and famous cookbooks.
My aim is to be informative, lighthearted, and also to throw in some nostalgia which I so dearly love!
Time heals many wounds and I have decided to stay far away from evil-doers. If this blog ever receives distasteful comments again, I will give them NO credence whatsoever.
Because Jesus is my life and my Savior, I will add prayers that give me fortitude in all that I do.
I have missed you all so very much. Please comment so I can know what is on your minds.
Life is relatively short, and I choose to dwell on the things that make life rich and fruitful. I pray that you will take this journey along with me. If I do not interest you, I invite you to stop reading me. Hopefully, those who are interested will grow with me...

"My son, attend to my words: incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes: keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."   PROVERBS 4: 20 to 22.

This past Christmas was my first Christmas in 12 years without my Richard, my love, my husband!
Rich deployed with the USMC last fall. Robbie and I are solo for awhile.

Absence has surely made my heart grow fonder!

Blessings to you all!
Sarah

Sarah, I'm am beyond excited that you are back to blogging. I have missed your updates and words of inspiration! Please do not let others who have negative things to say influence what your wish to do. You are such an inspiring and wonderful lady! With an adorable son! I do hope that the deployment is going by quickly for you. Kyle just returned from another deployment 4 days ago and it was so hard to not have him around for the holidays as well. It truly makes you appreciate family time when your husband is gone during the most family centered holidays of the year. Glad you are back!

I just read the news today that you're blogging again! I had read your post a while back saying you were no longer writing and I had left a comment saying how much I enjoyed reading your blog. I never thought to look back and then today the thought just popped in my mind, and I'm so glad I did!! Good for you for continuing to write such helpful, encouraging, and insightful posts for other wives and young moms, despite the harassment you were getting! I truly love reading your blog and find it such a breath of fresh air! My family will be praying for yours as your husband is overseas and you and your son are alone for a while. God bless you and your precious family.
