We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Sunday . . .

Today has been a rather busy Sunday! I wanted to be sure to post a fall festive idea for you all. You're in luck, because today I have not one, but two fall ideas to share !

Here are some pictures from our Sunday evening at home!

Guess what Robbie did with GiGi this evening?

Yep, they made a yummy Pink Lemonade cake!

I will be posting more on this tomorrow, but can you guess what project I am working on now??

I have started making a fall bucket list of things we must do as a family this fall! Here is the start of our list:

Christensen Family Fall 2012 Bucket List

1. Go to the County Fair
2. Take Robbie Apple Picking
3. Make Jam and Apple Butter
4. Go on a leaf walk with Robbie
5. Visit a pumpkin patch
6. Take Robbie Trick or Treating for the fist time!
7. Go to a fall festival
8. Take a family photo surrounded by autumn leaves!

and this is just the beginning .  . .

It's that time of year where candy corn is flooding the grocery store aisles!!
Here is a fun recipe to put all that extra candy corn to good use!

Homemade Butterfinger Candy Bar
Directions to making this tasty treat:

1 lb. candy corn

16oz jar peanut butter (I used Peter Pan Honey Roasted peanut butter)

16oz pkg. chocolate candy coating

Melt candy corn in microwave on high 1 minute. Stir and continue cooking in 15-second intervals til melted, stirring after each interval. Stir in peanut butter. Spread mixture in an 8x8 pan lined with parchment. Cool completely. Cut into squares. Dip in melted chocolate candy coating. Lay on waxed paper to set.

Blessings,
