We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

29 Week Pregnancy Update

I'm 29 Weeks !!
Here is my 29 week pregnancy picture. I'm sporting my USMC pride for my hubby! Rich is still in North Carolina for another 2 weeks. So, I took a few pictures of the baby and my ever growing baby tummy for him to see. :)

Pregnancy Highlights This Week:

How Far Along: 29 Weeks and counting! I'm getting so excited and just can't wait!

Size of Baby: Little Robert is the size of a squash. He is 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. He weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds!

Baby Development This Week: Robert's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath his skin. And since he's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: I'm getting ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs. :) Robert's adrenal glands are producing a chemical which will be made into estriol (a form of estrogen) by the placenta. This estriol is thought to stimulate the production of prolactin by my body, and the prolactin makes me produce milk. So even if my baby came early, I would still be able to breastfeed.

Each passing week improves the likelihood that my baby will be born strong and healthy. His brain can detect rhythmic breathing and control body temperature, so he's less likely to need breathing assistance should he be born early. He's growing eyelashes, adding fat, and developing his brain. Because of brain wave activity, researchers have speculated that babies can even dream at this time!

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans, pants and some tops. I LOVE anything stretchy or drawstring at this point!!

Gender: We are having a precious baby boy!!! Robert William Christensen

Movement: Little Robert moves ALL the time, and I love every minute of it! I thank my Lord for his wonderful works!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, thanks to my awesome pregnancy pillow! A little more aches and pain, but it's all worth it!

What I miss: Ugh!!! I would LOVE a great BIG sub sandwich! I miss my blonde hair :( and the ability to fit into my old clothes. However, I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Cravings: Mike's Jersey Subs Provolone, veggie sub. Oh my goodness!!! I could eat these everyday of the week!!! :)

Symptoms: Trouble getting out of bed in the morning while laying flat on my back. ha ha :) A little sore towards the evenings.

Best Moment this week: Feeling Robert move everyday!!!! :)

Message to Robert From Mommy: Hello my sweet little boy! Mommy loves you so much already! I keep looking at your 3D ultrasound picture and I just can't wait to meet you!! I am praying for you and the man you will grow to be. You and I are staying with Grandma Robin, we are having fun making things for you. Daddy will be home in 2 more weeks! He prays for you every night and calls to ask about you everyday. You are so wanted and loved sweet pea! :)

A few more pregnancy pics so Daddy can see how big we are both getting Robbie! :)

Look Rich!

I bought Robert his first pair of desert cammies! Just for you Daddy. :)

We think it's a perfect fit! ;)
We love you and miss you hurry home! :)
Blessings,
Sarah
