We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

What Gives You Joy ?

Good Morning!

I came across a scripture yesterday that really got me thinking!

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! " Philippians. 4:4

I thought about this scripture all day, before I went to bed and even this morning. I am so thankful to the Lord for all He has done for me but, do I truly rejoice in the Lord always?? No, I have bad days ( just like everyone else) where I wake up and I feel that everything is just one wrong thing after the next. This scripture made me realize that I have SO MUCH to REJOICE about not just when things seem to be going my way, but ALWAYS! God doesn't promise us a tomorrow, just the fact that we are breathing, we wake up to a new day with birds singing and the sun shining is a gift! So readers, today I ask you what makes you joyful???? Please share! :)

I enjoyed your post concerning joy!
I wish more people would comment. It would inspire, inform and teach us all.
I find joy in hope. I also find it in art, music, kindness, flowers, my animals, and most importantly in all of God's gifts and promises.
I receive much joy from YOU Sarah and your sense of humor. I can bearly wait to fill up on all of the joy little Robert will bring to us all!
