Julie & Julia Themed Dinner Party

This is a fun party idea you might like to host.
Last night my friend Audra and I hosted a Julie and Julia themed dinner party! We had an absolute blast!! We invited some girlfriends to come to my house dressed in 1950's Julia Child inspired clothing. This meant red lipstick, high heals, 1950's dresses , aprons and of course pearls!!!! Just like Julia. We asked all of the girls to bring a Julia Child recipe dish to share with the rest of the ladies. The food these ladies came up with was out of this world!! Our menu consisted of Boeuf Bourguignon, Supremes fde Volaille aux Champignons which is chicken with cream sauce and mushrooms. Bruschetta, French Onion Soup, Stuffed Mushrooms, La Tarte Tatin which is a wonderful upsidedown apple tart, chocolate mousse with raspberries, and finally Campo Viejo red wine!! Ahhh the list goes on and on!! While we enjoyed our fabulous, delectable food we watched the movie Julie and Julia. At the end of the evening we had a Julia Child quiz that we gave to the ladies. The winner went home with a basket full of cooking supplies, as well as a cookbook. Overall I would say the night was a success!
