We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Happy Mother's Day

This week I have been thinking about Mother's Day since it is coming up this Sunday.
I got to thinking about our own Mother's along with all of the famous Mother's throughout history. I then started thinking about the qualities and characteristics that make up a Mother. Anyone can have a child, but it takes a true woman of compassion, courage, conviction and honor to be a Mother.

When I was little my Mom read a story to me that I will never forget. It's called "Love You Forever" By Robert Munsch. The book is about a Mother and her son. It starts out with a young mother rocking her new born little baby boy. The Mother sings to him: "I'll love you forever,/I'll like you for always,/as long as I'm living,/ my baby you'll be." The Mother continues to sing this song throughout the terrible two's and into the rough adolescent years. When the boy grows up and becomes a Man the mother still sings this very song to him. Eventually as time progresses, the mother grows old and sick. Soon the mother can no longer hold and sing to her son. The roles are reversed as the son comes and holds, rocks and sings to his Mom. In the end the readers see the son rocking his own baby and singing the song in memory of his mother. This is a beautiful story, it makes me cry every time I read it.

Rich and I have been so very blessed by our own Mother's and all that they do! I decided to honor them in a little tribute on our blog. :) Rich and I thank you Robin and Carla for all that you have given to us both mentally, physically and spiritually in our twenty some years on this earth!

We love you both and wish you a happy, blessed and healthy Mother's Day. We wish we could be with you to celebrate your special day. We are with you in our hearts! Much Love Rich and Sarah . :)

I am weeping! My cup runneth over with love!
You and Richard are my gifts! My heart aches to the marrow, I miss you so much, now you need to help me fulfill the rest of the story for God. Go and live for His glory! The day your father and I were at my gyno's office and we found out we were going to have you Sarah, I made a covenant with God to raise you for Him.
I have had the privilege of seeing proverbs 22:6 become a reality in my life. We waited so long for you. Thank you for the lovely words and for the beautiful graphics!
Richard, you have come a long way from your low-riding baggy pants! I salute you Lieutenant Christensen for serving our country!
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you, May He turn His face toward you and give you peace wherever you go...
Happy Mother's Day to your mom, and to your precious Grandmas: Christensen and Branch!
Love Mom Robin :)
