We thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

My husband and I are a young, growing, Christian, military family. My husband is a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. I am a former Elementary school teacher. We are first time parents to a beautiful little two year old boy, with twin boys on the way! I am a stay at home Marine wife, who loves to bake, cook, sew and craft! I enjoy being a Domestic Engineer. The purpose of this blog is to document the story of our life and adventures as they take place.

We are honored to be serving our country and ask for prayer in our upcoming adventures. We have been blessed tremendously, and thank God everyday for all he has given us!

Christmas Morning

The charm bracelet from Mom

The hat from Mom

Christmas Morning

"Not a creature was stirring not even a Sarah??? " Rich and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family. Yes, that's right I woke the entire house up very early on Christmas morning to open presents!! Not because I like to receive presents, but because I get so much joy in watching other's receive their gifts! The best gift of all is remembering that Jesus is the reason for this holiday! So Happy Birthday Jesus!

Rich and I stayed in our Pajamas on Christmas morning like two kids. My Mom played Christmas Carols and my Dad and Rich started a crackling fire. All accompanied by hot chocolate and presents. My Aunt Becky (my Mom's sister and favorite Aunt) always comes over to open presents as well.

We loved all of our gifts, but we were extremely excited over a few gifts in particular. My Mom made me the most gorgeous charm bracelet!! I have always wanted one with charms that pertain to me and my life. Well, my Mom captured the very essence of me in this bracelet. Complete with a Marine charm as well as an airplane, high heel, and lipstick! ;) I also went crazy over a beautiful pink cashmere scarf and hat set that she made me complete with a pearl in the middle. After all "Pink is my signature color" !! Finally, I was honored to receive a pearl necklace that was my Grandmas! Every time I wear the necklace I will think of Grandma Vera!!!

Rich was very excited over a handgun that my parents gave him. It's a small handgun that was my Grandpa's. It meant a lot to my Mom to see that Rich has it.
