Christmas Cookies

As always I enjoy making Christmas cookies every year. This year I found a recipe for a Christmas mouse cookie! It is so precious I just had to make them!! My Mom got a big kick out of them. I thought I would share the recipe with all of you.
Christmas Mouse Cookie
1 package Oreo cookies
Slivered almonds
Cherries with stems
1 package Hershey kisses candies
1 package milk chocolate chips
Directions
1. Untwist Oreo
2. Only work with the Oreo cookie side that has frosting
3. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
4. Dip the cherry into the melted chocolate chips. Place the chocolate covered cherry onto the Oreo with the frosting towards the back of the Oreo. Make sure that the cherry is on it' s side with the stem towards the back. The stem will be the mouse tail.
5. Now take one Hershey's kiss and push the bottom flat end of the kiss against the cherry. The point of the kiss will be the front of the mouses face.
6. Take two slivered almonds and place behind the kiss between the cherry and kiss as mouse ears.
7. Your mouse is now complete. It is optional, but you may use any color frosting to make eyes on your mouse as well as a nose and whiskers.
TA DA!!!! Enjoy :)
