Marvelous Monday

Happy Marvelous Monday!! It's time for another week. Hope your weekend was fantastic! I had a very productive weekend! On Saturday, I went to my dear friend's baby shower! I had a wonderful Saturday morning. Vanessa, my friend and her new little boy Luke looked fabulous! Vanessa was gorgeous, as always and Luke is just precious! I also had a great time chatting about babies and talking "mama" with some very sweet ladies who really live their faith. I spent the rest of the day baking and sewing while my hubby had a poker night!

Scrumptious Nutella Brownies

I just made these delicious brownies. The recipe is from Giada De Laurentiis. They turned out so yummy and chewy!

Total Time: 1 hr 12 min.
Prep5 min.

Cook7 min.
Yield:4 servings

Ingredients
4 brownies (about 2 by 3-inches)
1/4 cup Nutella
1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (try a mix of white, semisweet, and milk chocolate)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Spread each of the brownies with 1 tablespoon of Nutella. Sprinkle each of the brownies with 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts. Top the nuts with 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips. Place the brownies on a baking sheet and bake for 5 to 7 minutes until the chocolate is starting to melt. Transfer the brownies to the refrigerator and let cool until the chocolate hardens, about one hour. You will LOVE THEM!!!

2 Sundresses

For 20 Dollars

In Under 20 Minutes!!!

Now That's A Steal!!!

The Fabric, before.

So, my next project for the day was... Making sundresses. On Friday, my Mom and I went to Walmart to browse the fabric section. I found this adorable sundress material on sale for $1o a yard. Well, I didn't quite need a yard to make one dress for me. So, I bought 2 yards of material. One in each print. The dresses literally took me about 20 minutes to make them both!!

I'm crazy about seersucker!! I love seersucker material because it is stretchy, it gives and it is perfect for the nursing mama! A comfortable fit that makes breastfeeding easy, anytime, anywhere! I also just love this bright, summery printed material.

And After I made them into dresses!

Ta Da!!!

So, how did I make these adorable sundress? I bought the fabric (2 yards total). I took my measurements around my bust and then sewed a straight stitch down the back. I machine hemmed it and voila!!! Two sundresses in less than a half hour!!! :) I had some material left over and I am now making accessories to match!

Blessings,
